“I think and think for months and years. Ninety-nine times, the conclusion is false. The hundredth time I am right.”
– Albert Einstein
There are 100 cents in a dollar, 100 pennies in a pound, 100 céntimos in a neuvo sol and 100 paisas in a rupee. Decimal currency rocks.
The Hundred Years War actually lasted 116 years. And if you think there should be an apostrophe after “Years”, the BBC disagrees with you.
A centurion in the Roman army actually only commanded 80 men. They probably should have been called Octoginions.
Australian cricket legend Don Bradman made 29 centuries in his Test Cricket career, finishing with a batting average of 99.94. That had to hurt.
The 100 Metre Track scene from the ABC satire ‘The Games’ (and the brilliance of John Clarke and Brian Daw):
Sleeping Beauty slept for 100 years. I envy her.
The sum of the first nine consecutive prime numbers is 100. That’s mathematics. Cool, huh?
Water boils at 100 degrees Celsius. This is good for tea, bad for coffee. Trust me.
100 years ago today, no fabulously famous people were born.
Oh, and this is my 100th post.
I like the one about the sum of the prime numbers. And the one about it being your 100th post. Congratulations and keep going! xxx

Thanks, Em! Yes, some days going to bed and not waking up for 100 years seems very attractive.
There will always be coffee. 🙂

Only you could’ve come up with those WONDERFUL things, H !!! – you are a one-off, no doubt about it, me love. 😀
Complimenti bella …
And: it was the war that lasted for ‘100’ years, of course; if only they’d removed that ‘s’, eh ? – then it would’ve been just like a 10-minute walk ! Not. 😉

Grazie, amico mio.
People really shouldn’t give names that are so specific – it causes confusion when it is proved inaccurate. Like calling something The War to End All Wars.

I’d actually sat down to write a completely different post and only then realised it would be my 100th. Couldn’t let that pass without playing with it so put aside the other (it’s still coming) and had some fun. 🙂

LSD is the truth drug not got good to go tripping with.
LSD is also an abbreviation for Pounds, shillings and pence plural for penny.
