There are 100 cents in a dollar, 100 pennies in a pound, 100 céntimos in a neuvo sol and 100 paisas in a rupee. Decimal currency rocks.

The Hundred Years War actually lasted 116 years. And if you think there should be an apostrophe after “Years”, the BBC disagrees with you.

A centurion in the Roman army actually only commanded 80 men. They probably should have been called Octoginions.

Australian cricket legend Don Bradman made 29 centuries in his Test Cricket career, finishing with a batting average of 99.94. That had to hurt.
