It’s time for some more wisdom from everybody’s favourite Time Lord.
Things got very philosophical and deep for a while there…. (And for my blogging friend Bun and his boys, I finally found a quote from the Tenth Doctor I could tolerate.)
But you can always trust the Eleventh Doctor to come in swinging with the optimism:
Truths were told:
And my favourite fashion choices were upheld:
Relevant observations were made about the state of the world and its politics:
We’ve definitely all had moments like this (I feel like this right now with only one more week of term before the holidays):
And to finish, the Eleventh Doctor swings again:
These are great!

There are so many to choose from! I’ve loved the bits of advice each day. Or some just make me laugh. π

Always good for a laugh. Have a great week ahead. π

I really like the ‘never trust a hug’ quote. It is such a refreshing take on the action of a hug. With a hug, sometimes you just can’t know if its genuine or if it’s done out of politeness, or maybe you hug back out of obligation.
Good luck for the last week. The school holidays are just right around the corner. So close, yet so far. At least with your work you know you will get time off at a certain point. As for me, I took leave and will be back at work on Wednesday. After that…well, I don’t know when I’ll get time off again π

I actually remember that line in the show because I was really struck by it at the time.
Someone said that the last term is 12 weeks! I’m trying not to think about that and just focus on this lot of holidays coming soon. π Hope you had a good break. Enjoy the last couple of days left. π

I do wish you weren’t so hard on no. 10, H … What did he ever do to you ?

One day I’m going to collect up all his quotes and read them to you. If you can’t see what I’m talking about then I’ll know you’re as one-eyed as a Cats fan. π

OUCH ! [M-R licks wounds]
But it’s the fault of the writers, she whinged defensively …

Thank you for the quote from the tenth doctor! I appreciate you posting one. I know you had to grit your teeth and put yourself through a lot to find one. I’m not sure what happened there. I like David Tennant as an actor, but perhaps he wasn’t given as many good lines as some of the other doctors. π

To be fair, I didn’t hunt it down necessarily. I just went through the quotes to find ones I liked and one of them happened to be from Ten. It may be necessary for me to do a Tenth Doctor post with his quotes just so I can prove how bad they are!

I wonder why his quotes are so bad. I mean, he has a Tardis, so he could go back in time and change them all to better ones.

These are pretty good. I think I line up pretty well with the eleventh doctor. I am hopelessly optimistic.

There’s a t-shirt with that quote on it. I’m tempted….
It’s been interesting having these daily quotes from each of the Doctors. You start to get a feel for the type of Doctor they were. I’ve never really had an absolute favourite, I think they each bring something I like, but I’ll confess to going off the Tenth Doctor based on his quotes and becoming more fond of Eleven. I love his “swings to swing on” quote. π

I loved him when he was the Doctor but in the intervening years, I’ve started to find him annoying. (I really am going to have to do a post about his quotes.)

Yes, hugging is a bit overdone. It is often done as a demo to others who then follow it up with more hugging. A bit like serving food at restaurants on timber plates and demonstrably bringing out the Himalayan rock salt.

Haha. Yes, the back slapping hugging can get a bit much.

I like the Tenth Doctor’s quote. Live a little – or a lot. I’m not thinking about the last week of work right now, because I’m already living more than usual, on LSL in England! I hope your last week goes well.

Oh, wow! I wish I could use a phrase like “on LSL in England”! Unfortunately, as a Jack of All Trades who changes her career every few years, LSL is something I’ll never take part in. Hope you’re having a marvellous, magical time!

We are having a great trip. In Manchester at the moment with our daughter who’s been here for two years. We’re going on a day trip to Liverpool today βΊ

I am particularly fond of the final one. Worlds to save, swings to swing on. Yes exactly! As a hugger I am laughing away, especially at the comment from Gerard. Must remember to keep that hugging thing under control. In my defense I am no back slapper. π

Yes, it’s a good one isn’t it? Who wouldn’t want swings to swing on? I should send you the clip the hugging one relates to, it’s quite moving.

I like that last one too, but you have me bemused H. (not an uncommon state of affairs, I admit π ) Hols? What hols? It’s September! I don’t know how your Australian system works but our half term week off isn’t till the end of October. You’ll just have to hang on a bit π

We run from the end of January to just prior to Christmas with four terms. Two week holidays at Easter, end of June and end of September. Well, in my state we do. It varies state to state. I think Tessie is still on three terms. π
And it’s been a long, cold and wet term so let me have my holidays!! π

My favourite was ‘Won’t this go any faster? Come on. Come on. Come on’. I’m pretty sure I say this at least once a day when I’m out on the road in traffic. Apparently it’s not any better when you have a Tardis π
I don’t know about Doctors 1 to 8, but so far I’m up to Doctor 11. Slowly, but surely …

I wasn’t sure I was going to like Matt Smith, but 5 episodes in, I’ve decided I like the new Doctor. I guess it just takes time to adjust.

I’m going to live a little and swing on a swing…but first I have to put on my hat, hug my cat and get going. I love The Doctor, he’s so wise, but always willing to have fun.
BTW, your post showed up in my email…I’m just late in commenting.
